Our Art Camps are held at various locations on Island. Mostly, camps are held at local Community Centers. Please check our website and booking page for specific locations for each event.
Yes, Art Camp happens rain or shine. Since moving our Camps over to the Community Centers weather is no longer a factor for our operations. However, if your camp does have the option for a bonus swim at the community pool afterwards, weather may play a factor for that specific activity.
Your Artist should bring a water bottle and lunch. Also, a long sleeve shirt is recommended on cloudy and rainy days. Also, if your camp happens to have the option for a bonus swim afterwards please bring a towel if you wish to partake.
We kindly request that no peanut or nut products are brought for lunch. This helps us to play it safe. Also, please don’t bring any toys or things that may cause distraction.
Currently we offer 2 types of Camp.
Holiday Camps – 9 am -1 pm – These camps take place on HIDOE Holidays and Vacation breaks, usually on week days.
Weekend Camps – 9 am -12 pm – These are shorter camps, usually held on Saturdays, all throughout the year.
As of right now, our camps will only accommodate children between the ages of 5-13. However, in the future, we hope to expand our offerings to include younger and older artists as well.
Yes, Art camp is for all children that have an interest in Art. Because we have limited space, we ask parents to use their best judgment when deciding if this program is right for their children. We want this program to remain fun and positive at all times. The only way we can achieve this is if our campers are excited about our mission of creativity.

Yes, and we encourage it. Artistic growth is 10% natural ability and 90% practice. With a new focus project every day, we will challenge each child to build upon the skills we introduce.
Each day at camp, we focus on the main project and a few mini-projects. We need to structure things this way to keep our campers engaged while giving our main projects time to dry/cure in between stages. Although Art is our main focus at camp, we take some time for physical play on the playground with 2-20 minute recesses and 30 minutes for lunch.
Art is Freedom, and we plan to explore many different mediums, processes, applications, and styles. Our camp is a exploration of mixed-media expression.
